Results driven massage

Remedial massage is all about treatment outcomes. When you walk in with aches and pains, you will walk out feeling lighter and with better range of motion and hopefully feeling on cloud 9!

What exactly is a remedial massage?

Remedial massage is so named because it aims to remediate (fix) a problem with the musculature. A swedish massage, also known as a relaxation massage, is more geared towards relaxing touch along your muscles, but the depth of pressure is lighter. In remedial massage the techniques may include strong pressure along tight muscles to help relax them, relieving spasming pains and bringing relief to tight, overworked muscles.

Sometimes you may not have a specific injury, but your muscles are tight in general from being overworked or stressed. Remedial massage can help to relax the muscles, leaving you feeling lighter, calmer, and more likely to sleep better.

What should you expect when you visit us? I will welcome you into the clinic. Unlike most massage rooms, it is a large space with lots of natural light, yet totally private for your comfort. I will have a quick chat with you to understand your health needs, and then you will be given a targeted remedial massage to ease aches and pains. You are always encouraged to give feedback during your massage about whether you want stronger or lighter pressure. Following your massage, it is recommended to drink some water to hydrate your muscles and help them get the most benefit from your treatment.

Lisa has a Diploma of Remedial Massage.
